We must and will eventually be legal. We just need the idiots in power to be kicked out and logical thinkers be instated. Until then, the government and our police will continue to ruin the lives of victim less criminals.

legalize

Marijuana is not a gateway drug, some drug dealers pressure people who buy marijuana from them to buy other drugs. That’s what leads people to other drugs. If marijuana was legal, this would never happen as people would be able to grow it themselves.

These assholes are just arguing for the pharmaceutical industry. It’s much harder to charge money for shit that someone can grow in their back yard, and to open a market in which other companies may be able to compete with you with little financial overhead. It is a monopoly-breaking drug; this is a good thing, medically and economically, IMHO.

I can’t shake the feeling that Dr. Kleber is yet another mole for the pharmaceutical industry. The issue isn’t simply “does marijuana has negative side effects we should be concerned about?” What needs to be questioned is what the side effects of marijuana are compared to RX drugs like opiates, non cannabinoid antinausea drug. Though I’d be willing to be bet that Dr. Kleber likes the idea of synthesized cannabinoid drugs, because he’s a pharmaceutical sycophant.

I agree with UFCaz,Straylkon, and anybody else that thinks this bebate is getting old ~ legalize it already!!! The crime rate involved with it still being illegal would go down too.

i like how they both use data to support their argument, i wouldn’t doubt it’s the same data too, just goes to show that analyzing data is just as important as having it

except for that animal studies comment, that just sounded stupid as hell, and the psychosis in adolescents…wtf why do we want anyone young getting high anyway unless its for some medical reason, I’d say aderol(aderal maybe im horrible at spelling) can bring on some crazy stuff too and we feed it to kids like suar pills

Gateway drug for animals??!! So after the hamster smokes weed, it goes out and looks for a coke dealer??!!

The anti-legalization arguments are getting pretty ridiculous. Saying that weed is a gateway implies that the user has the capacity for abstract thought – and for them to say that that theory is proven in animals??!! -Ludicrous

Good point, but if marijuana were legalized, people wouldn’t have to grow it themselves nearly as much. It’s like people who used to make their own alcohol, now they don’t have to because it’s so easy to access. I’m all for the legalization of marijuana and I’ve never smoked once in my life. If energy drinks and alcohol are legally sold in the same can, how can the government possibly claim to worry that marijuana may be bad for us…

I heard that medical marihuana and an SSI check is a sure fire treatment for the symptoms of Industrial Disease too. Opiates were also used in China for centuries. Let the people self medicate.

Why would anyone listen to that retard with the slurred speech? Hes obviously just a huge old cock block. I dont smoke weed but it should be legal.

That pro-weed guy is totally high during this interview by the way

13 StrayIkon July 25, 2010 at 6:24 pm

the debate goes on and on and on…when r people gona wake the fuck up?! 100 times safer then booze. Doesn’t make u beat your girlfriend or have gnarly hangovers. wtf is wrong with america?

14 UFCaz July 25, 2010 at 6:45 pm

Doctor fatso making an argument against Marijuana, replace the word Marijuana with any pain killer, you find similar problems, chances are Dr fatso gets paid from some pharmaceutical company, I have no use for Marijuana but I think Dr fatso is a psycho bubble.

Legalize that HARMLESS stuff and stop putting stoners in jail just cuz a FEW of them are dirty hippies!

16 itsjayduh July 25, 2010 at 7:46 pm

stupid blond lmao “the addiction dangers”
i thought that everyone new that its not addictive.

17 StrwberryCoff July 25, 2010 at 9:09 pm

People are arguing over the wrong points. If we keep up the comparison to alcohol and tobacco we will eventually lose those as well. It doesn’t matter if it is bad for you or causes psychosis, its about choice.

18 manofrandomnumbers July 25, 2010 at 9:41 pm

wow shocking to see that the former george bush the first assistant drug czar is pushing abstinence and a status quo for the so called negative consequences of maraijuana. go figure. earleywine is right and if you have any desire to learn reality and don’t want to live like alice in wonderland buy understanding marijuana by dr. earlywine. psychology researchers are actually interested in science where as psychiatry doctors are interested in handing out papers for drugs. let’s get real.

19 bernardfshannon July 25, 2010 at 9:57 pm

Legalize it and tax it like cigs. It might help out the economy. It makes no sense to me that weed is illegal and cigs are not. Just my opinion. :-)
